The Royal Tuileries Park, located on the banks of the Seine, is one of the favorite places for Parisians and numerous tourists to walk around. By the way, the Tuileries is the very first of the parks open to the public and was designed by André Lenôtre, the legendary creator of the French regular park style. Construction began in 1564 and continued for several decades. During the Paris Commune, the lavish park and the Tuileries Palace were burned down. The park was restored in 1990, it was expanded by adding the Seine embankment, but tried to restore the original historical appearance as much as possible. On the territory of the Tuileries Park there are rides, including a huge Ferris wheel, there are beautiful fountains, many garden sculptures, many of them created by famous sculptors of the past and modern times, and two large ponds. As for historical sights, in the park you can see two pavilions – Marsa and Flora, left from the magnificent palace. There are also several interesting museums on the grounds. The most interesting of them are the Orangerie Museum, which presents a unique private collection of paintings, and the Gé de Pom Gallery, whose expositions are devoted to the art of photography. We invite you to a sightseeing tour of Paris during which you can familiarize yourself with many other sights of the capital in the company of a Russian-speaking guide.
