On a tiny island in the middle of the water surface stands like a fairy-tale castle, and it seems that it is about to float away. And next to it is an exquisite English garden laid out according to all the rules, and a little farther away is a small village that still preserves the spirit of the bygone era of glorious warriors. All this is not a fiction, but an amazing piece of terrain in the Loire Valley called Azay-le-Rideau. A venerable 600-year-old age does not prevent the beautiful castle from receiving hundreds of visitors every day, who come to admire the graceful half fortress, half palace, combining elements of the early Renaissance and Gothic with a chic museum inside. In 1871, the romantic fortress was almost destroyed in an accident. One day a huge chandelier fell on the table in front of Prince Friedrich-Karl of Prussia and he mistook it for an assassination attempt. The servants barely kept the prince from burning the castle. Aze le Rideau is so beautiful that Honoré de Balzac excitedly called it a real diamond. Of course, UNESCO has not neglected the outstanding structure, adding it to its famous list. Metropol Voyage Company will take you on an enchanting tour to one of the most attractive chateaux of the Loire.
