Beauvais-Tillé Airport (Beauvais-Tillé), often referred to commercially as Paris-Beauvais, is located 70 kilometers from the French capital, in the northeastern suburb of Beauvais.
Founded back in the 1930s, the airport found new life with the opening of the first passenger terminal in November 1979. As the number of passengers increased steadily, a second terminal was added in December 2010.
The airport is now the 10th highest traffic airport in France, with 14 million passengers in 2014.
The popularity of Beauvais, is due to the fact that most of the low-cost carriers flying to Paris (Ryanair, Wizz Air, EasyJet and others) land here.
Travelers should be aware that the airport is closed from 23:30 to 6:30.
