He himself appreciated art and always dreamed of creating a large complex where he would bring together all branches of art. Fortunately, such a place was found and construction soon began in the Bobur neighborhood. <\/span><\/p>\n

The authorities announced the project and architects from 50 countries responded. But Pompidou wanted to see something different and turned his attention to young architects. <\/span><\/p>\n

The original project<\/strong> was a bit unconventional. The building was to be completely glass and somewhat like a parallelepiped. On all sides of the building. <\/span>escalators were to be installed. <\/span><\/p>\n

These departments are considered a shopaholic’s paradise. Here you can buy books, various knick-knacks, souvenirs and art kits. If you’re lucky, you might even buy a designer item. <\/span><\/p>\n

Children’s art workshops<\/h3>\n

This is one of the few places in Paris where not only adults will be interested.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you take your child with you, they will be satisfied. There are real masters working with them here, who are ready to teach children the basics of drawing and modeling. They will also advise you on what materials to choose for creativity. <\/span><\/p>\n

Children of all ages will find something to do here. The art studios are especially interesting for teenagers. <\/span><\/p>\n

Stravinsky Fountain<\/h3>\n

The fountain was built much later, in 1983. A pool was dug and filled with water. To somehow diversify the ordinary, 16 sculptures were lowered into the pool. They move on the water surface and music by the great Stravinsky is played. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Pompidou Center is open 6 days of the week. Tuesday is a day off. It is also closed on May 1. <\/span><\/p>\n

The center opens at 11:00, closing the boutiques and exhibitions at 23:00.<\/span><\/p>\n

Every Thursday, there are temporary exhibitions on the 6th floor. They are open until 23:00. <\/span><\/p>\n
