Avenue des Champs-Élysées starts from Place de la Concorde and runs all the way to the Arc de Triomphe. It was once a dreary marshy area, which was improved by Catherine de Medici. The place became popular among Parisians: it was fashionable to take carriage rides along the Champs Elysees, and the first houses appeared here only in the eighteenth century. The street borrowed its name from Greek mythology. The Greeks called the Champs Elysees a place where the souls of heroes who had passed away rested. Now Champs Elysees is the most prestigious street of the city. Prices for real estate in this area is simply unreal. Here are located embassies of different countries, luxury hotels for diplomats, offices and representative offices of the richest international companies, the most expensive and pathos restaurants. Among the main attractions of the street are the Elysee Palace, the residence of the President of the Republic, and the Arc de Triomphe. At the arch is equipped with a viewing platform, from where tourists can admire the “Center of Parisian glamour” – so often called the Champs-Elysees.It is also worth visiting the market philatelists and the famous theater Marigny. The Champs-Elysees traditionally hosts the main city events: holidays, festivals, parades. We invite you to a sightseeing tour of Paris, during which you can familiarize yourself with many other sights of the capital in the company of a Russian-speaking guide.
